Programs

Art

Our small group art classes foster a sense of belonging and community among our participants. Together, we share ideas, collaborate, and establish meaningful connections in a supportive space.  Individual projects promote relaxation, stress reduction, and improve mental wellbeing, while group-based activities provide participants an opportunity to share their work and ideas, enhance self-esteem, and provides an outlet for creative expression.

Our collaborative projects allow participants an opportunity to gain empathy, understanding, and emotional intelligence through group based problem-solving. Together we work towards a common goal, while promoting a sense of belonging within our community.  The Thrive Community Art program provides space to explore creativity, discover new interests and talents and promotes personal growth and understanding of oneself. All art supplies and resources are supplied.

Health and
Wellness

Focusing on self care promotion, education and support, the Thrive Community Health and Wellness Program supports NDIS participants to achieve their health and fitness goals.

Offering a variety of activities and experiences, participants in the program are able to attend our local gymnasium at no additional cost, learn mindfulness and meditation techniques and undertake educational sessions delivered by experienced industry clinicians.

Travel
Training

Public transport is a cost-effective means of accessing the community, especially those who do not have a license or access to a motor vehicle. The Thrive Community Travel Training program provides participants with the knowledge, problem solving know-how and skills to access public transport with confidence.

Tailored to our clients’ individual needs, this program can be facilitated within a small group, or with 1:1 support.

Community
Garden Project

We understand the importance of human connection and establishing safe and supportive relationships. Our Community Garden project allows for individual and group-based support to attend a local community garden.

Together we learn about the importance of knowing where our food comes from, connect with multigenerational members of the community and work together towards a shared outcome.

Violence
Prevention

As a disability support provider, Thrive Community have a responsibility to ensure we do our utmost to protect our clients and the broader community in the prevention of violence. Thrive Community takes a stand in primary prevention through formal education and challenging behaviours that lead to violence.

We are committed to providing formal training for all Thrive Community team members and ensure our clients are equipped with valuable resources during our intake process, focusing on the prevention of violence.
